Special Honing. After the block has been machined, the liner is then fitted via a thermal expansion and contraction process. This leads to distortion of the liner, the process of honing is then carried out to remove this distortion. But basic honing does not take into account the natural distortion (thermal and mechanical) that take place during normal running. One of the secrets to high power outputs is the effectiveness of the piston to liner seal. Our special honing process does just that, enabling the engine to make an effective seal during normal running so improving the power output.
Up to a ø82.00mm piston can be used.With the top section having a tickness of 6mm, good sealing is still achieved and 2.8mm in the lower section.
