about RNN14 Pulsar GTi-R

The Pulsar GTI-R (RNN14 - or GTiR, i-R, 'R) was a Nissan made racer for the WRC Group A. Produced between 1990 and 1994, it was largely based around the Sunny or Pulsar models, sporting a larger wing and air scoop in the bonnet. It was an all-wheel drive vehicle with a special version of the SR20DET engine, only found on the Pulsar GTI-R

Its often compared to vehicles, produced for the same rally racing league, such as the Subaru WRX, Lancer Evo and the Celica GT4.

Its compact size and powerful engine made the GTi-R a formidable opponent during a race. Equipped with the ATTESA 4WD system of the Skyline GT-R, traction off the line in a drag race was definitely not a problem. Its Redtop SR20DET packed a bigger punch than the same engine in the PS13/RPS13 Silvia/180SX, making their journal bearing T-28 turbines a popular part among SR engine owners. Its limited numbers make the GTi-R somewhat rare. Because of it being a car built solely for WRC competition, the RNN14's racing heritage has attracted dedicated owners and fans of the GTi-R from all over the world.
