AE92/101/111 Levin Trueno - Toyota Sprinter


The followup from the popular Hachiroku AE86 was a series of Levin Trueno - Sprinter models. Released in '91, these models were widely adopted on the racing scene, in Group-N racing and Gymkhana, but never reached the popularity or cult status of the Hachiroku.


The 4A-G engines is popularly tuned by enthusiasts within Japan and around the world. Rather than modify the unpopular FF platforms of newer Levins and Truenos however, these 4A-G engines are normally transplanted into the older AE86 chassis. Aftermarket support of the AE92/AE101/AE111 is not as strong as their predecessor, however tuning parts, such as Exhaust, Suspension, Aero, and more available to increase the power, handling, and looks of the FF Levin and Trueno.


The range included the E90 Sprinter with a 4age 20v Silver Top engine, the E100 Sprinter and the E110 Sprinter featuring the 2E-E, 5A-FE, 4A-FE, 4A-GE (16-valve), 4A-GE (20-valve), 2C engines.

Eighth generation — E110 series


Minor exterior redesign, the main update was the new aluminum engine block and aluminum cylinder heads, in the all new lightweight 1ZZ-FE.
