TOYOTA Aristo Celsior Lexus
about Aristo Celsior Lexus
Aristo (Lexus GS)
The Aristo is sold in the export markets as the Lexus GS. This luxury sports sedan was sold from 1991. The first 2 generations were sold in Japan, under the Aristo brand. The Lexus sold abroad did however feature different engine and transmission combinations as well as equipment packages.
The Aristo was available with a NA 2JZ-GE or a twin turbo 2JZ-GTE engine, producing up to 276 hp (205 kW). The second generation featured VVT-i and electronic four-wheel steering. The luxurious interior design featured walnut wood trim, leather seats, while moon roof, 12-CD changer and traction control were available options.
The Aristo carried the same 2JZ-GTE engine from the JZA80, and as such packs the same power potential, but with a bigger body. The Aristo however does not have as strong of a racing sedan image like the JZX cars. Although great drifting/drag racer themed Aristos have been built, the Aristo is largely considered more of a VIP tuner car. American influenced LUX style is also a common theme for the Aristo. There have been owners who have fused the two styles of VIP and Racing, taking advantage of the 2JZ-GTE's power potential and making use of the Aristo's luxurious looks. The Aristo has also seen action in major Drifting competitions like the D1GP and Formula D with driver, Manabu "Max" Orido behind the wheel.
Celsior (Lexus LS)
Celsior was a big luxury sedan from Toyota, sold in export markets at the Lexus LS. The Celsior featured a 4.0 liter 1UZ-FE 32-valve V8 engine producing 250 horsepower (190 kW) and 260 lb/ft (353 N/m) of torque. This engine pushed the big car from 0 to 60 in 7.9 seconds and gave it a top speed of 250 km/h.
The Celsior was designed to out perform all existing luxury sports sedans. The result was a car with a higher top speed, lower drag coefficient, quieter cabin, better fuel efficiency and lower curb weight, thanks to more than 300 technological innovations, and a completely new design. R&D took more than 5 years and the cost for the first generation alone was over 1 billion US dollars.
The Celsior is one of the most popular tuning models in the VIP tuning world. A simple google search of VIP style will include more than a few great looking Celisors/Lexus LS' Exhaust, Suspension, Aero, many other interior pieces, and more are plentiful in the aftermarket, guaranteeing you a great build, for your own VIP tuned Celsior.
Lexus IS
The Lexus IS is an entry-level luxury car / compact executive car sold by Lexus since 1999. The IS was introduced as an entry-level sport sedan model, underneath the ES and GS in the Lexus lineup. The IS was originally sold as the Toyota Altezza name in Japan until the introduction of the second generation Lexus IS.
After a redesign in 2005, the new model Altezza was re-named to the Lexus IS and released with a 3.0 L 3GR-FE V6 228 hp (170 kW), engine with a 6-speed manual transmission, and a 6-speed automatic transmission is available as an option. The 2nd generation Altezza/Lexus IS shifted focus slightly more onto luxury than its predecessor.
Lexus
Lexus is a brand of cars made by Toyota, it has been used in the United States since 1989, initially as a re-branding of JDM sports cars, but eventually in 2005 they launched Lexus in Japan, consolidating several brands in this new marquee.
