Yashio Factory YP Turbine SR20DET

This is a YP Turbine from SR20 tuning guru, Kazuyoshi Okamura's garage, Yashio Factory.

This Top-Mounted, Bolt-On turbocharger is the brainchild of a collaboration between Okamura and GP Sports Owner, Gyouharu Komakata.
Realizing that a wastegated turbo is the only way to be competitive in top-level competition like the D1 Grand Prix, Time Attack sessions and other major Japanese motorsports competitions, the two set about to design and manufacture a bolt-on turbo which can offer the amount of power normally only possible to attain with a wastegated setup. The result is the YP Turbine.



Unlike its wastegated counterparts which would need a complete kit from the maker or custom exhaust fabrication for installation, the YP Turbine requires only a top-mounted exhaust manifold and is compatible with the Stock OEM 5-Bolt T25 outlet.

Through constant trial and error testing, Okamura and Komakata have made a turbocharger that offers an ideal combination of response and peak power by properly matching the turbocharger size and design to suit the SR20DET in its needs for mid-range and top-end power.
From high power, top level Time Attack racers and D1 drifters to the amateur enthusiast, the YP Turbine can provide a best match for just about any application.

Yashio Factory/GP Sports YP Turbine Power Rating:
-Stock OEM Cams: Approx. 400ps
-Aftermarket Cams: Approx. 430ps
2.1/2.2 liter engines have been able to produce Approx. 470ps with boost at 1.7bar.
