This is a direct replacement for the OEM Oil Thermostat which is prone to cause overheating of oil temperatures during hard running of the 4G63 and 4B11T engines. The unit will allow oil to consistently flow to the oil cooler keeping temperatures as cool as possible and can easily be switched back with the OEM unit when necessary!
