DENSO (JAPAN) has started to sell the new Iridium Power IXUH22 and IXUH22I and the new Iridium Tough VXUH22 and VXUH22I spark plugs into the market as recent automobile engines need smaller 12 mm diameter spark plugs.
These new type spark plugs have been designed to fit vehicles manufactured by Mercedes Benz, BMW mini, Peugeot, Hyundai, Honda, Daihatsu, Suzuki, Subaru, Nissan, Mazda, Mitsubishi, VW, Porsche, and Smart.
They have a thread diameter of 12 mm x thread length of 26.5 mm x hex size of 16 mm.
This thread length is 7.5 mm which is longer than the DENSO's IXU22, IXU24, VXU22, and VXU24 spark plugs.
The Iridium Power IXUH22 and IXUH22I spark plugs contain the world's smallest 0.4 mm iridium center electrode which enhances acceleration, idling stability, and fuel savings.
The Iridium Tough VXUH22 and VXUH22I spark plugs also contain a 0.4 mm iridium center electrode with a platinum tip on the ground electrode which enhances the spark plug's lifespan up to 100,000 km.

The quality is typically HKS perfect.The price-performance ratio is very good and there is no other option on the market where you can increase the spring preload. It would be nice if HKS would bring another 40mm version onto the market with a smaller housing. Because it's not that easy to accommodate such a large wastgate in the engine compartment.
