Excellent gear knob but beware the countersunk depth

The knob is well made; polished surface with a slight bronze sheen. Weight is about 360g, hefty and makes shifting a joy. But beware the countersunk depth - The knob is very countersunk and thus the thread only starts about halfway into the knob. This wasn't stated on the product page at all. I've already switched out to a short shifter, so the Arvou knob + the short shifter is now too short, and I can't use the lock nut to hold my shift boot collar up. Ended up having to use a cheap gear shift extender just to fit the Arvou knob (and even then I'm barely using 2+ rounds of thread), which defeats its entire purpose because the throw is now too long.

Great knob, but only if you have enough thread to accommodate the countersinking.

One of the best options out there for AP1/2

LOVE this countersunk knob from ARVOU. Great weight, pleasing form and feel. With the knob being countersunk, you eliminate the need for short shifter, as this compliments the stock shifter well.
