Increased diameter and increased flow provides the extra boost in performance reducing the exhaust backup between the engine and the exhaust system. Unlike most aftermarket center pipes with only higher diameter this item is equipped with original design featuring tapered chamber with divergent cone. The design sucks the lingering exhaust gasses from the cylinder after combustion and even helps to pull fresh mixture from the transfer ports into the cylinder for the next combustion cycle. The quality is typically HKS perfect.The price-performance ratio is very good and there is no other option on the market where you can increase the spring preload. It would be nice if HKS would bring another 40mm version onto the market with a smaller housing. Because it's not that easy to accommodate such a large wastgate in the engine compartment.
