“ THE CUSTOMER'S VOICE ”
- The US market cars get a OEM soild heavy rear crash beam, which is much more soild than this one, so you would only install this to loose some weight, at the expense of crash protection, and probably some chassis flex.
- The European cars get fairy lightweight rear crash beam, so this one might actually add some protection, as well as reducing chassis flex.
- The JDM cars get no crash bean at all, just fresh air under the bumper, so this item is an upgrade in terms of crash proection and chassis flex.
I have a JDM import 2010 Impreza hatch, so I'm gaining both strength and protection. The hatch version includes additonal triangulation, by bolting into the holes for the lower bumper support brackets (the sedan/saloon versions don't). The brace is completely hidden by the bumper once installed.
I didn't notice any difference once driving after the install, but I wasn't really expecting anything. This brace is one of the every little helps braces, rather than the 'Wow' that better.
