Locks down the steering rack
As with other chassis braces the objective is to minimise the difference between input and output, so in this case steering input results in steering output without flex and movement taking place.
This Cusco brace is much thicker and has no appreciable flex compare to the OEM item, so achieves the obective of stopping the steering rack from moving in use. I haven't noticed any change in NVH.
