    This is a drop-in direct replacement for the OEM unit and is compatible with the RB series engines and VG Series Engines. Nissan`s OEM unit will open at 76.5 degrees Celcius (170F) and this unit will open earlier at 62 degrees Celcius (144F) in turn leading to a cooler running engine and is recommended for anyone truly enjoying their VG or RB engine.     SPECIFICATIONS:
    Temperature valve opening- Nismo: 62 C- OEM: 76.5 C

    FEATURES:
    Nismo Low-Temp Thermostat allows the radiator valve to achieve a lower temperature opening at 62C (Standard = 76.5C). This promotes earlier coolant circulation inside the engine, reducing the power loss caused by rising coolant temperature during high speed driving at a racetrack. The valve opening temperature is set lower to within the vicinity of the threshold valve where a rich mixture boost for a low temperature condition would be triggered.

    PRODUCT NOTES:
    When the air temperature is low, such as during winter, the temperature of the water within the engine will not quickly rise, resulting in reduced interior heater performance.

    Must have for all high HP RB20/25/27/28/30/32 engines
    This is a must-have item for all RB engines especially if you live in PERTH, WESTERN AUSTRALIA where Outside temperatures in summer can blast up to 45 degrees Celcius and sometimes even higher in country regional locations. Previously had twin thermofans and oem thermostat and car nearly overheated and enough was enough so installed new radiator + Fan Shroud + Oem clutch fan and NISMO LOW TEMP Thermostat and never had any issues at all, engine bay temps have also gone down which helps when your engine makes more than 500HP.

    You will need a new gasket during installation.

    Better for hot countries
    Living in Australian heat is sometimes bad for a GTR. Nismo low-temp thermostat in 45c degree summer solved the problem. A little tricky to install, but on an RB26 most things are. Worth buying if you live in a hot country.
