This is a direct replacement for the standard twin-scroll turbocharger developed in conjunction with Clover Turbo from the IHI Group. This bolt-on application uses the factory layout for no-hassle installation. Ball bearing cartridge provides great response and enjoyable torque from low rpm and significant power increase from mid to high rpm.
This is the largest bolt-on turbo possible that the engineers can fit into the limited space of the EJ engine. Despite the size, the internals of the turbocharger speaks otherwise; extracting the most power at the finest efficiency from its design. The end result is a turbo that maintains the best characteristics of the EJ engine with the added benefit of an extended power band to the high RPM region. The quality is typically HKS perfect.The price-performance ratio is very good and there is no other option on the market where you can increase the spring preload. It would be nice if HKS would bring another 40mm version onto the market with a smaller housing. Because it's not that easy to accommodate such a large wastgate in the engine compartment.
