The TOMEI Forged Full-Counter Crankshaft 4G63-23 is a replacement Crankshaft for your engine From Tomei, with a longer stroke compare to the OEM Crankshaft. The Crank Shaft is made from SNCM439 nickel-chrome-molybdenum steel to achieve both light weight and high strength qualities.

FEATURES:
Crankshaft is the parts that change vertical movement of a piston into rotational movement. It is suffered from explosion load and inertia power, and the load by bend vibration or torsion vibration.

- Full-counter weighted camshaft:
By preparing counter weight on every cylinder, making inertia power balance so that bent of the crankshaft is suppressed and vibration and friction is reduced, while the reliability of bearing is raised. (Applied to all engine model excluding CA)

- 2 route lubrication:
Two-route oil supply from two journals secures crankpin an enough amount of oil supply. Moreover, X shape oil passage enables supplying oil using the centrifugal force of a crankshaft; reliability of the oil supply at high RPM is improved. Furthermore, and resistance of oil flow is reduced by giving a modification on oil hole exit. (Applied to all engine model excluding CA)

- Balance rate:
Counter weight has its original shape that is designed with theoretical analysis, to secure the proper rate of balance (rate which negates the inertia power of a reciprocating movement) while reducing its weight.

- Edge shape designed with hydrodynamics:
At high RPM, counterweight rotates at more than 200km/h* inside the crankcase through the oil and air. Tomei designed the edge shape of the counterweight hydro-dynamically sharp so that less resistance will occur even at high rotation. (Applied other than CA)
*: If the radius of crank counter weight is 65mm, its circumference is 408mm = 0.4meter. When the engine is running at 8500RPM, crank rotates 141.7 turns per second which is translated in 56.7m/s = 204.1km/h of peripheral speed.

- Forged SCM435 metal:
Tomei selected chrome moly steel as a material (STD: regular steel) and forge it in the mold to improve the organization of crystal. As a result, metal flow is formed along with the shape of crankshaft that gives 2times more strength to the metal than before. (Applied to SR engine)

- WPC finish to the pulley journal:
WPC finish* prevents pulley and pulley holder to be worn and keeps good maintenance of the engine. (Applied to RB engines)
*: WPC finish is shooting micro ceramic spheres (45mm diameter) to the surface of the metal at 200m/s of speed.
